Sof' Shoe® Slotted Elastomer Shim Size D - 5" x 5"

The Sof' Shoe® elastomer slotted shim is made from a proprietary elastomer with unique flow and set characteristics designed to fill irregular gaps. It features a tab that makes shim placement easier and safer, eliminating the need for hands to be placed under machinery during installation or removal. This shim is used for solving angular soft foot alignment issues on motors, pumps, generators, turbines, and other machinery in just minutes.

The Sof' Shoe® elastomer shim helps cure angular soft foot and extends the lifespan of bearings and motors. It provides a cost-effective alternative to more time-consuming and expensive solutions, such as milling the base or foot, hand cutting graduated shims, replacing the base, or rebuilding with poured epoxy. Each shim has a 12% flat compression under standard bolt torque, but it can absorb nearly half its thickness in angularity. The product is also available in cut-to-length sheets with a 38.5″ width.
